One question in. Themes, quotes, next steps out.

Field Read, formerly Ansir AI, launches as a rebuilt AI survey tool for one question at a time.

Brian Arizaga

Field Read launched today at fieldread.ai, with a rebuilt app, a new name, and pricing built from what its early users actually said. The product does one thing: it turns a single open-ended question into a finished report of themes, quotes, and counts, usually within a day. There's a free plan.

Most people who ask an open question never get much out of the answers. The responses pile up in a spreadsheet, and reading them closely enough to find the pattern is the step that gets skipped. The decision gets made on gut, or on whichever answer was most memorable.

Field Read does that step for you.

How it works

  1. Write one open-ended question. It takes a couple of minutes, and you get a link.
  2. Share the link with the people you already know are the right ones to ask: customers, your team, event attendees. Respondents don't need an account, and answers are anonymous by default.
  3. Read the report, usually within a day. It has a plain-language summary, the main themes with the quotes behind each one, how many responses fall under each theme, and suggested next steps. A finding reads like this: 43% mention time pressure, here are 12 quotes, and 3 responses disagree. It's not a raw export.
  4. Ask follow-up questions. Chat with the same set of responses to dig into a detail, without sending the question out again.

What's different

A form builder collects responses and stops there. You still have to read them. Pasting them into a general-purpose AI chat tool helps with the reading, but you had to collect them yourself, nothing is anonymized, and what comes back isn't something you can hand to anyone. Field Read covers the whole flow in one place: collection, anonymity by default, thematic analysis, and a report you can share.

What it doesn't do

Field Read is narrow on purpose. Each survey is one open-ended question. There's no branching logic, no multi-page form, and no panel of respondents to rent. You bring the people. Field Read does the reading.

Who it's for

People with a specific decision to make and no research team to lean on: solo founders, independent operators, and small teams. They're personally accountable for the call and need a real answer faster than a research cycle can give one. It isn't built to run a standing survey program.

Pricing

No sales call, no procurement, no approval chain. You pay by card, and you can start free.

  • Free: $0, one question a month.
  • Essentials: $9/month.
  • Pro: $25/month. The most popular plan.
  • Team: $59/month, unlimited questions, three seats.
  • Enterprise: custom pricing, for teams that need SSO or invoicing.

The pricing page has what each plan includes.

Why we rebuilt it, and why the new name

Ansir AI was the first version, built to learn from. We put it in front of a small group of early users and asked what they actually needed. Their answers confirmed the core idea, changed our pricing completely, and shaped the new features. The rebuild is a response to what they said, not a rename looking for a reason.

One phrase kept coming up: people wanted a way of getting info from the field. The new name comes from that. It also retires a name people found hard to pronounce.
